In the
kitchen, finishes and textures such as mahogany crown moldings above
glazed maple cabinets, black window mullions and a porcelain tile
floor that looks like limestone were chosen to provide continuity
with the Tudor style of the home. The custom stainless steel hood
introduces a contemporary edge and serves as the focal point for
this gem of a kitchen. The wall is enhanced by a striking mosaic
backsplash that adds texture and drama to the room. The handcrafted
tile is a mix of slate; granite and stoneware that includes
beautiful jewel tones as an accent.

This
kitchen is a gourmet's delight! The amenities in this well appointed
kitchen include a Wolf 6-burner range with griddle and two ovens,
stove-side pot fill, invisible trash compactor built into the
island, and wine/bottle rack created out of unused space near the
refrigerator. The black honed granite island anchors the room and
provides ample seating for children grabbing a snack or doing
homework. |

This butler’s pantry goes beyond its
traditional role of providing additional storage by becoming fully
integrated into this family’s lifestyle. Besides providing a staging
area for bringing meals to the dining room, modern conveniences
transform it into a secondary prep area. These amenities include a
warming drawer, vegetable steamer, refrigerator drawers,
wine/beverage cooler, microwave, and farmer’s sink. The new farmers
sink is constructed of black honed granite and complements the
island in the main kitchen. The farmers sink was lowered to allow an
original leaded glass window to remain in place. This pantry is a
work of art that can really work for you! |
