Project Description & Challenges
The master bath was a large and uninspired space that had a relatively small shower for the size of the room. The client wanted to build a larger shower and increase the visual appeal of the bath.

This view of the master bath shows an elegant vanity area where the countertop was made six inches deeper to serve as the windowsill, giving a greater continuity of line. A lighted mirror was installed to assist with makeup application although the area has plenty of natural light from the window and skylights above. The floor uses a large format porcelain tile with the look of limestone.  This product choice provides greater durability than the natural product. The floor is warmed by radiant floor and is as comfortable as it is practical.

The client selected furniture style cabinetry that has glazed inset doors. The chocolate glaze gives the cabinetry warmth and draws attention to the detailed beading. The vanity has a double sink with a storage tower in the center that allows for handy access to towels and toiletries. The satin nickel finish on the plumbing fixtures lends to the stylish yet tranquil tone of the bath.

With a thermostatic control valve, just turn the shower on and off. No more waiting for the water to warm up or fidgeting with the valve to find just the right temperature. The neutral palette of the tile shows through beautifully with the frameless shower door and the satin nickel fixtures again remind us of the simple elegance of this master bath.

This flying marble bench seat is a custom detail in the master shower. It is just the right height for a the woman of the house to put her leg up while she shaves her leg or can be a convenient place to set down a bottle of shampoo or body wash. With Tibma Design Build, it is all about creating an extraordinary space that perfectly suits your individuality. It is our company challenge to find a solution for each person’s individual needs.
